Gretchen Rosenberg broker manager with the Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek, specializes in real estate that is focused on relocating to or from Denver, Colorado. In addition to working to provide people and families with Colorado homes, Gretchen Rosenberg is also very active within the community, volunteering her time to Food Bank of the Rockies.
Since its founding in 1978, Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) has been dedicated to providing supplies and food to help fight hunger in Colorado. FBR helps feed Colorado’s homeless, low- and fixed-income families, and children by providing food to the many hunger-relief programs in the state. With the 96 cents of every dollar donated to FBR going to provide meals to those in need, the organization has been able to give out more than 360 million free meals since its creation. FBR supports several programs and events each year to help raise food donations and find volunteers to help give out meals to Colorado’s hungry.
Food Bank of the Rockies’ distribution program, Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope, provides over 1,200 hunger-relief agencies in Northern Colorado, the Eastern Plains, the Western Slope, and Metropolitan Denver with essential supplies and food. Through their Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope program, FBR takes food orders online from their member agencies, packages the order, and delivers the order to the agency. FBR also provides food to Kids Café, Totes of Hope, and After School Snacks, programs for children that help provide balanced and healthy food to children who live in impoverished areas and are struggling for food. Through its many member agencies, donations, and volunteers, FBR is able to continue serving as Colorado’s largest organization dedicated to ending hunger.
